Grosse Ile Township asks voters to renew an expired voted increase of 0.50 mills ($0.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 0.4818 mills ($0.4818 per $1,000) by required rollbacks. The millage would be renewed at 0.4818 mills for five years, 2026 through 2030 inclusive. The funds would acquire fire department vehicles and other necessary fire department equipment. An estimated $403,000 would be raised in the first calendar year, of which about $5,750 would go to the Downtown Development Authority and about $1,800 to the Brownfield Authority. A yes vote renews the millage; a no vote means it is not renewed.
