In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Bloomfield Hills voters are asked to renew the city library millage of up to .52 mills ($.52 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) a year for six years, starting with the July 2027 levy. The current millage expires in 2026. The money would fund a library contract with the Baldwin Public Library of Birmingham. Under that contract, residents and workers in Bloomfield Hills would receive full library privileges, including borrowing, on the same basis as Birmingham residents. The question estimates about $440,405 would be raised in the first year. A YES vote renews the millage; a NO vote means it is not renewed.
