A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Casnovia Township voters are asked to approve a millage of up to 1.0 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for five years, 2026 through 2030 inclusive. The wording splits the millage: .9598 mill is a renewal of a previously authorized millage that expired in 2025, and .0402 mill is new additional millage. The money would fund and operate the Casnovia Township Fire Department and any other fire service operational purpose authorized by law. The estimated first-year revenue for 2026 is approximately $130,000. A YES vote approves the millage; a NO vote does not.
