In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Comstock Charter Township voters are asked to renew an expired charter millage for law enforcement services. The original millage was 1.0 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value), which the wording says was reduced to .9920 mill ($0.9920 per $1,000 of taxable value) by required rollbacks. The renewal would be up to .9920 mill for four years, 2026 through 2029 inclusive. The money would fund law enforcement services, and part of it may be paid to Kalamazoo County or to other local units of government the township board chooses. The estimated first-year revenue is $813,904. A YES vote renews the millage; a NO vote means it is not renewed.
