The question on your ballot

Shall the City of Clio be authorized for a period of five years beginning on July 1, 2027, to levy and collect a new millage of 3 mills per $1,000 of taxable valuations of state taxable value which is estimated to produce $171,540.90 of collections in the first year and would be exclusively used for operation of the City of Clio Police Department?

In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Clio voters are asked to authorize a new millage of 3 mills per $1,000 of taxable value for five years, beginning on July 1, 2027. The money would be used only to operate the City of Clio Police Department. The millage is estimated to produce $171,540.90 in its first year. This is a new millage rather than a renewal. A YES vote authorizes the city to levy the police millage, and a NO vote does not.
