In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Watervliet voters are asked to renew a fire millage that has expired. The previous voted increase of 1.9712 mills ($1.97 per each $1,000.00 of taxable value) was unchanged by required millage rollbacks. The renewal would be up to 1.9712 mills ($1.9712 per each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation) and levied for two years, 2027 through 2028 inclusive. The money would support fire protection services in the City of Watervliet, and the wording estimates it would raise $93,356.69 in the first year. A YES vote approves the renewal, and a NO vote does not renew it.
