A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Huerfano County’s ballot issue would raise the county property tax by 2 mills starting January 1, 2027, raising about $354,692 a year, or about $13.60 per year for each $100,000 of actual home value. The money would go into a dedicated fund for parks, recreation and cultural facilities and programs for all ages. An advisory board would review spending first, and towns, districts and sponsored nonprofits could apply. A YES vote approves the tax. A NO vote means it is not added.
