A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Boulder County Ballot Issue 1A would add a property tax mill levy of 2.579 mills to fund child care and preschool. The measure would raise $30,000,000 a year in tax collection year 2027, plus additional amounts later. The money would lower child care and preschool costs for families, raise pay for teachers and staff, and expand capacity to reduce waitlists. The measure says a home valued at $725,000 would pay about $115 per year at current assessment rates. A YES vote approves the new property tax. A NO vote means the county does not add this tax.
