Charter conforming revisions for county constitutional officers

Volusia County · Volusia County County · November 3, 2026

The question on your ballot

Shall the Volusia County Home Rule Charter be amended to repeal provisions which were superseded in 2018 by the voter approved amendment to section 1 of article VIII of the Florida Constitution as to county constitutional officers and replace superseded or obsolete provisions?

In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Volusia County voters are asked to approve clean-up changes to the county home rule charter. The changes would remove rules that a 2018 voter-approved amendment replaced. They would apply to county constitutional officers. The changes would also replace other old or obsolete provisions. A YES vote approves these clean-up changes. A NO vote leaves the old provisions in place.
