Madeira Beach: extend officials' terms for November election transition
Madeira Beach city · November 3, 2026
The question on your ballot
Shall the City Charter be amended to temporarily extend the terms of Commissioner District 3 and Commissioner District 4 until certification of the November 2027 election results; and the terms of Commissioner District 1, Commissioner District 2, and Mayor-Commissioner until certification of the November 2028 election results in order to implement the transition from March Municipal Elections to November Municipal General Elections?
In plain language
A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.
This charter amendment would extend some Madeira Beach terms for a short time while the city moves to November elections. The commissioners for District 3 and District 4 would serve until the November 2027 election results are certified. The commissioners for District 1 and District 2 and the Mayor-Commissioner would serve until the November 2028 results are certified. A YES vote approves these longer terms. A NO vote leaves the current terms as they are.
