Charter Amendment Expanding Allowable Advertising at Parks
Miami-Dade County · Miami-Dade County County · November 3, 2026
The question on your ballot
Shall the Charter be amended to expand permissible advertising in parks subject to Article 7 of the Charter by removing the requirement that advertising in those parks must be related to sponsorship of events or facilities in the parks, provided that such advertising does not unreasonably impair the public use of the park or damage the park and any revenue generated be for the exclusive use of the park system?
In plain language
A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.
The Miami-Dade charter would expand advertising allowed in county parks. Advertising would no longer have to relate to sponsoring events or facilities in the parks. It must not unreasonably impair public use or damage a park. Any revenue must go to the exclusive use of the park system. A YES vote allows this wider park advertising. A NO vote keeps the current sponsorship rule.
