In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

The Aventura City Charter requires an independent audit of city accounts by a certified public accountant or firm. Under current rules, that firm must be rotated at least every five years. The Charter Revision Commission proposed rotating the firm at least every seven years. A YES vote adopts the seven-year rotation. A NO vote keeps the five-year rotation.
