In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Manatee County's measure would levy an additional 0.16 mill ad valorem tax and issue general obligation bonds of up to $75,000,000. The bonds would mature within 20 years and be payable from ad valorem taxes. The money would acquire, improve, and maintain lands that protect drinking water sources, water quality, and wildlife habitat, and natural and environmentally sensitive lands from overdevelopment. A YES vote approves the tax and the bonds, and it requires annual public audits. A NO vote prevents them.
