Sterling Referred Ballot Issue 2A would add a temporary 1.0% city sales and use tax for five years, starting January 1, 2027, raising $3,600,000 a year at first. The money would go into a dedicated fund, separate from the general fund, used only to repave, repair, maintain and improve city streets and roads, including drainage, curbs, gutters and pedestrian safety. A YES vote approves the temporary tax. A NO vote means it is not added.
