In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Cañon City Issue 2A would change how an existing 0.3% temporary sales and use tax can be spent, without raising taxes. The tax now helps finance a community recreation pool built by the Cañon City Area Metropolitan Recreation and Park District. The measure would also let the money pay to operate and maintain the pool. The tax would still end December 31, 2050, and the city could sign a multiyear agreement to pay the revenue to the district. A YES vote allows these uses. A NO vote keeps current limits.
