In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Basalt Ballot Issue 3A would raise the town sales tax by 0.5% starting January 1, 2027, for no more than twenty years. It would raise up to $1,700,000 in the first full fiscal year, 2027, and more in later years. The money would pay to acquire, plan, build, operate, maintain and replace public services facilities and related infrastructure and equipment. A YES vote approves the increase. A NO vote keeps the current sales tax rate.
