Douglas County · Douglas County County · November 3, 2026
The question on your ballot
If the membership of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners is increased from a three-member board to a five-member board, by what method shall the Douglas County Board of Commissioners be elected? (Vote for One) Five District Commissioners who reside in districts to be elected by the voters only by the voters resident in the district; or Three District Commissioners who reside in districts to be elected by the voters only by the voters resident in the district, and two At-Large Commissioners to be elected by the voters of the whole county.
In plain language
A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.
Douglas County Ballot Question 201 asks how commissioners would be elected if the board grows to five members. Voters pick one of two options instead of voting YES or NO. One option has five commissioners who live in districts and are elected only by voters in their district. The other has three such district commissioners plus two at-large commissioners elected by voters across the whole county. The answer matters only if the board is expanded.
