The question on your ballot

Shall the City of Louisville Home Rule Charter be amended to authorize the City Council to convene executive sessions for the purpose of considering any matter authorized by the Colorado Open Meetings Law, C.R.S. § 24-6-401, et seq., as amended, and for boards, commissions, task forces, and committees to convene executive sessions pursuant to the Colorado Open Meetings Law in accordance with procedures and subject to limitations established by ordinance, thereby expanding the topics for executive sessions currently permitted under the Charter?

In plain language

A VoterDecoder summary of the official measure text.

Louisville Question 2C would change the city charter's rules for closed-door meetings. The City Council could hold executive sessions on any matter the Colorado Open Meetings Law allows. Boards, commissions, task forces, and committees could also hold executive sessions under that law. Their procedures and limits would be set by city ordinance. The change would expand the topics allowed in executive sessions under the current charter. A YES vote approves these changes. A NO vote keeps the current charter limits.
