In plain language

Measure P would add a 1-cent local sales tax in the City of Ceres. The money would pay for city services. Examples named include 911 response and police patrols, hiring and keeping police officers, preventing gang activity, dealing with homelessness and clearing camps, and other city services. The tax would last until voters end it. It would require independent audits, public reports on spending, and citizens' oversight. All funds would benefit Ceres residents, with none going to the state. A YES vote approves the tax. A NO vote means the tax is not added.
