City of Riverbank · Stanislaus County · November 3, 2026

The question on your ballot

Shall the measure, to require that a majority of city voters approve at an election any decision of the Riverbank City Council that would authorize or facilitate development of urban uses on agricultural or open space lands located west of the current city limits of the City of Riverbank, be adopted?

In plain language

Measure M in Riverbank would require a vote of the people for certain City Council decisions. It applies to any council decision that would allow or help urban development on farm or open space land west of the current city limits. A majority of city voters would have to approve such a decision at an election. A YES vote adds this voter-approval rule. A NO vote means the rule is not added.
