City of Vacaville · Solano County · November 3, 2026

The question on your ballot

“Shall the citizens of Vacaville adopt a measure maintaining the City’s financial stability and essential services--including 911 emergency response; fire and ambulance protection; crime prevention; parks and recreation; safe public spaces; supporting local businesses; repairing streets; and other general city services--by establishing an additional one-cent sales tax providing approximately twenty-eight million dollars annually, with local control, citizens oversight, annual audits, and public reporting, until ended by voters?”

In plain language

Measure V adds a new sales tax in Vacaville. It is a one-cent tax. A YES vote adds the tax to help city finances. It would fund 911 response and fire and ambulance help. It would also fund crime prevention and parks. It would support safe public spaces too. Other uses include help for local businesses. It would also fund street repairs. A NO vote means the tax is not added. The tax lasts until voters end it. It includes local control, citizen oversight, and yearly audits. Public reports would be required too.

Fiscal impact

The new sales tax is expected to raise about twenty-eight million dollars a year.
