Measure G: MEASURE G
City of Yreka · Siskiyou County · November 3, 2026
The question on your ballot
To provide funding (all funds used for local services) for infrastructure and general City services, including, but not limited to, public safety, park and recreation programming, community events, and local economic development, shall the City increase the transient occupancy tax (hotel tax) rate from 10% to 12% on July 1, 2027, with an estimated increase of $245,000.00 generated annually from the resulting tax and will remain in effect until repealed or amended?
In plain language
Measure G would raise the City of Yreka's hotel tax from 10% to 12%. This tax is called a transient occupancy tax. It would start July 1, 2027. A YES vote raises the tax to fund City infrastructure and services. This includes public safety, parks, recreation, community events, and economic development. A NO vote keeps the hotel tax at 10%. The tax would stay in place until voters repeal or change it.
Fiscal impact
The tax increase is estimated to raise about $245,000 more per year.
