City of Greenfield · Monterey County · November 3, 2026
The question on your ballot
Shall the Measure Continuing the City of Greenfield Transactions and Use Tax Measure be Adopted? To continue to enhance the health, safety and welfare of Greenfield, through strengthened public safety; increased youth recreation programs; continuance of code enforcement services; and other essential services, shall the City of Greenfield re-enact a voter approved 0.75 percent sales tax, subject to annual audits, and review by a City established oversight committee, raising $1.4 million annually and expiring on March 31, 2033?
In plain language
Measure O asks Greenfield voters to re-enact the city's voter-approved 0.75% sales tax. The money would pay for public safety, youth recreation programs, code enforcement, and other key services. The tax would have yearly audits and review by a city oversight committee. It would end on March 31, 2033. A YES vote re-enacts the tax. A NO vote means the tax is not re-enacted.
Fiscal impact
A 0.75% sales tax, raising about $1.4 million a year, ending March 31, 2033.
