Measure PRT: CITY AIRPORTS, HARBOR, AND WATER AND POWER DEPARTMENTS. CHARTER AMENDMENT PRT.
City of Los Angeles · Los Angeles County · November 3, 2026
The question on your ballot
Shall the City Charter be amended to: require the Harbor Department to allocate funds for waterfront public access projects; require disclosure of workforce impacts for certain Harbor Department leases and agreements; increase maximum terms for certain leases; and change the composition requirement for the Airport Commission?
In plain language
Measure PRT is a Los Angeles city charter change. It covers the Airport, Harbor, and Water and Power Departments. A YES vote would require the Harbor Department to spend money on projects that let the public reach the waterfront. It would require the city to disclose how certain Harbor Department leases affect workers. It would allow longer lease terms. It would also change who sits on the Airport Commission. A NO vote keeps the current rules.
