The question on your ballot
Keep Cudahy Sales Tax Revenues Local Measure To preserve and continue the City's existing local funding stream, which may be used to support general City services, including, but not limited to, street, sidewalk and City building repair; park maintenance and enhancements; and youth and recreational programs, shall the City's existing 3/4% transactions (sales) and use tax be extended indefinitely, unless repealed by voters, providing approximately $1.3 million annually for local use?
In plain language
Measure OK is a Cudahy measure about the local sales tax. The city already has a 3/4% sales tax. It helps pay for street, sidewalk, and building repairs, park upkeep, and youth programs. A YES vote extends this tax indefinitely. It would keep raising about $1.3 million a year for the city, unless voters later repeal it. A NO vote lets the tax expire instead.
Fiscal impact
This extends the existing 3/4% sales and use tax with no end date. It would raise about $1.3 million each year. It lasts unless voters repeal it.
