Measure H

City of Cudahy · Los Angeles County · November 3, 2026

The question on your ballot

Cudahy Rent Stabilization Protection Measure To safeguard tenant protections codified under Cudahy Municipal Code Chapter 5.13, including provisions that prevent excessive rent increases and stabilize rents over time while affording landlords reasonable returns, shall voter approval be required for any increase to the 3% maximum ceiling by which rents can be increased annually under Chapter 5.13, and 2/3 approval of the full City Council be required to otherwise amend or repeal Chapter 5.13?

In plain language

Measure H is a Cudahy measure about rent control rules. City law now caps yearly rent increases at 3%. A YES vote adds two new rules. Voters would have to approve any raise to that 3% cap. And two-thirds of the full City Council would have to agree before the rent rules could otherwise change. A NO vote leaves the current process for changing the cap and rules in place.
