Positions in brief

Scianna wants more housing and jobs for working families. She also wants new water sources, fire readiness, and more trees around Winters.

Scianna says local government should listen to residents and pass their concerns to city staff. She wants more housing so there are more options for people who are struggling financially. She wants more jobs so people can work and live in Winters. On the environment, she wants the city to have new sources of water and to stay ready for fires. She wants more trees planted around town. She says trees help with heat, make the town nicer to look at, raise property values, and make it easier to walk around. She has pushed the city Climate Action Commission to weigh in earlier on new building projects. She says she welcomes getting the commission involved sooner in city planning.
