Jeff OkrepkieIncumbent
Candidate for City Council Member, Santa Rosa, District 6 · City Councilmember
Jeff Okrepkie co-founded Coffey Strong, a nonprofit formed after the 2017 Tubbs Fire that helped fire survivors navigate the rebuilding and permitting process. A husband and father of two living in Santa Rosa, he has served on the Santa Rosa City Council, where he has worked on affordable housing, homelessness response, park access, and environmental initiatives.
Positions in brief
Focuses on continuing fire-recovery work, expanding affordable housing, and advancing environmental and transit initiatives while addressing homelessness.
Okrepkie's platform centers on fire recovery, born from his work co-founding Coffey Strong to help Tubbs Fire survivors rebuild. He has supported city approval of new affordable and middle-income housing and pursuing efficiencies in city planning and building processes to reduce construction costs. On homelessness, he has said eradicating it is a tall order but supports reducing chronic homelessness through comprehensive services while addressing illegal camping in a way that prioritizes community safety. He has also pointed to a lack of park and recreational access in underserved parts of the district as a priority. On environment and infrastructure, he has supported the city's greenhouse gas reduction strategy, backed replacing public transit buses with electric models, and approved funding for a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over Highway 101 at Edwards and Elliot Avenues.
