Eric Crutchlow
Candidate for City Council Member, Santa Clara, District 3 · Cybersecurity Product Manager
Eric Crutchlow has lived in Santa Clara since 1984 and has worked in the technology industry for more than two decades, most recently as a cybersecurity product manager at Lumen Technologies; he has worked in cybersecurity for about 25 years. He has served on the city's Planning Commission for about three years, currently as its chair, and previously served on the Charter Review Committee.
Positions in brief
Crutchlow's campaign focuses on improving the city's finances, addressing deferred infrastructure maintenance, and increasing public participation in local government.
Crutchlow says the city faces urgent deferred-maintenance needs and wants a stronger long-term infrastructure plan alongside continued fiscal discipline. He has pointed to tension on the current council and says his time on the Planning Commission and Charter Review Committee gave him a deeper understanding of how city government operates, which he wants to use to encourage more collaborative governance and public participation.
