Davis Stuart Fields
Candidate for City Council Member, Campbell, District 4 · Product Manager/Father
Davis Fields is a lifelong Bay Area native, born in Mountain View, who moved to Campbell seven years ago with his wife Kira; they have twin boys. He is a graduate of Bellarmine College Prep and holds a degree in Political Science and Communications from Boston College. Fields works as a Director of Product Management at Meta, where he has spent over a decade leading teams that shipped products including the Amazon Family Library, the redesigned Facebook.com, and the Next Issue digital magazine app, now part of Apple News+. Since 2020 he has chaired two Campbell city commissions: the Civic Improvement Commission, where he helped expand the downtown mural program and direct funding to library, senior, and youth programs, and the Planning Commission, where he has taken part in more than 70 meetings and led an audit of 105 conditional use permits that produced permit-streamlining reforms.
Positions in brief
Fields wants to steer growth toward transit and commercial corridors, streamline permitting for local businesses, invest in public safety and community spaces, and plan ahead on the city's deferred maintenance and finances.
Fields' platform centers on four priorities: directing higher-density housing toward transit and commercial corridors while 'respecting established neighborhoods' and creating housing choices for teachers, first responders, and young families; investing in street safety, parks, and public spaces along with library, senior, and youth programs; streamlining permitting to help 'fill empty storefronts' and cut delays for neighborhood businesses; and addressing budget pressures through long-term capital planning for city facilities and deferred maintenance.
