Deanne Barth
Candidate for City Council Member, Lodi, District 3 · Director of Finance
Deanne Barth is a Lodi native with more than 20 years of financial management experience, including as an assistant branch manager at a Stockton bank, an office manager at a Lodi construction company, and for the past 13 years as director of finance at Verve IT in Stockton. She has volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children. In 2022 she ran as part of a slate of candidates for the Lodi Unified School District Board of Education's Area 5 seat.
Positions in brief
Barth's platform centers on fiscal stewardship, public safety and quality of life, business-friendly economic growth, and government accountability.
Barth says Lodi faces a critical budget crisis, with the city projected to run an $86,000 deficit by 2030, and argues her two decades of managing budgets and forecasting equip her to bring long-term financial health rather than short-term balancing. She calls for safe neighborhoods, well-maintained parks and roads, a business-friendly environment that reduces barriers for employers, and leadership that is transparent about the city's true financial condition and follows through on commitments.
