Bastiany wants to clean up and reopen the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. He would use it for clean energy manufacturing. He would also use it for maritime cargo work. He would also use it for shipbuilding. He would also use it for modular housing. He says this could fund Black and Latino economic growth in the district. On housing, he favors quick housing options. These include turnkey homes, modular homes, and maritime pontoon homes. He wants this on underused sites. He does not want years of normal planning first. On public safety, he has proposed a plan.
