Paul BarichIncumbent
Candidate for City Council Member, Redlands, District 5 · Councilmember / Business Owner
Paul Barich has served on the Redlands City Council, working on the city's homeless plan, moving the Redlands police department into the former K-Mart building, and construction of a new city hall.
Positions in brief
Barich supports increasing police staffing back toward historic levels, downtown beautification, support for local small businesses, and a balanced city budget.
Barich has noted Redlands police staffing has fallen from 100-110 officers in the past to about 82, and supports increasing staffing to close that gap. He has also focused on beautifying downtown Redlands with lighted trees, music, art, and a family-friendly environment, on boosting local and small-business productivity, and on maintaining a balanced city budget.
