Candidate for City Council Member, Chino, District 3 · Chino City Councilmember, District 3

Marc Lucio is a retired police captain who served 26 years in law enforcement. He and his family have lived in Chino since 2003, and he was elected to the Chino City Council in November 2018 representing District 3. He serves as the city's representative to the Citizens' Advisory Committee for the California Institution for Men and Institute for Women and to SCAG's General Assembly.

Positions in brief

Lucio emphasizes continued police department funding, opposition to defunding police, and regional traffic and truck-route planning with neighboring cities.

Lucio says he and the rest of the council never bowed to pressure to defund the police department, and has consistently funded the department while adding commercial traffic officers and crime-fighting technology. He has also worked with officials from neighboring cities on regional traffic concerns, truck routes, and projects such as the 71 Freeway expansion.
