Stephanie Youngblood
Candidate for City Council (At-Large), Loomis
Stephanie Youngblood is a member of the Loomis Town Council, first elected in November 2022 as the top vote-getter, and she served as Mayor of Loomis in 2024. She earned a bachelor's degree in government and journalism from California State University, Sacramento, and has been involved with the California State Sheriff's Association and the California Department of Water Resources. She also serves on the Placer Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO).
Positions in brief
Youngblood's platform emphasizes support for law enforcement and emergency responders, slow and intentional growth, and preserving Loomis's small-town, agricultural character.
On her campaign site, Youngblood says local law enforcement and emergency responders "need to know that we have their backs," and calls for strengthening infrastructure and improving road and traffic conditions as the town grows. She frames growth policy around what she calls "smart, slow, and intentional growth that protects the quality of life," paired with preserving the town's close-knit community, local businesses, historical landmarks, and agricultural roots. She also says the town should pursue new, sustainable revenue sources so it can fund services without added burden on residents and small businesses. She additionally advocates for a focus on core academic subjects in schools, though curriculum decisions are set by the school district's board, not the town council.
