Mike Moeller
Candidate for Mayor, Marina · Respiratory Care Practitioner
Mike Moeller is a Marina resident and respiratory care practitioner. He volunteers with Citizens for Sustainable Marina and Friends of Marina Parks, and describes his approach to civic involvement as grassroots, built on showing up at neighborhood meetings, volunteer projects, and everyday conversations with residents. He previously ran for the Marina City Council's District 3 seat in 2024, and qualified as a candidate for Mayor of Marina on August 3, 2026.
Positions in brief
Moeller's platform emphasizes transparent city government, fiscal accountability, opposition to the proposed utility tax, and steady support for public safety and local businesses.
Moeller's campaign is built around four commitments: listening to residents before decisions are made, publishing clear and timely answers from city government, accounting for every public dollar, and bringing together longtime and new Marina residents. On public safety, he supports strong police, fire, and community services. He opposes the city's proposed 7% Utility Users Tax as it is currently written, and calls for a fair, practical approach to supporting local businesses along with maintaining parks, streets, and other infrastructure.
