Tammy Zickuhr

Candidate for City Council Member, Brentwood, District 2 · Small Business Owner

Tammy Zickuhr is a Brentwood small business owner who serves as President of Vasco Forever Helping Families (VFHF), a local nonprofit that grew out of a fatal 2017 crash on Vasco Road. Through VFHF, she has helped provide emergency financial assistance, funeral-expense support, care packages and grief resources to families affected by crashes on the road, alongside an advocacy campaign pushing for safety improvements on one of the Bay Area's most dangerous roadways.

Positions in brief

Zickuhr's public record centers on road safety, built around her leadership of a nonprofit that supports crash victims' families and pushes for safety improvements on Vasco Road.

Zickuhr's main public advocacy has been through Vasco Forever Helping Families, which she leads as president. The group documents a high rate of crashes on Vasco Road -- including six fatal crashes since 2019 and 211 total crashes, with drivers under 30 involved in a large share -- and advocates for engineering and enforcement changes to make the road safer, while also directly supporting families who lose loved ones or are otherwise affected by crashes there.
