Narayan Tadimeti

Candidate for City Council Member, Livermore, District 2 · Physician

Narayan Tadimeti is a board-certified physician in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine with more than 30 years of medical practice experience. He has lived in Livermore for more than seven years with his family, including a child with developmental disabilities; his wife is involved with Special Needs In My City, a local network supporting people with developmental disabilities. He is a political newcomer challenging incumbent Councilmember Ben Barrientos for the District 2 seat.

Tadimeti frames his medical background -- listening carefully, staying calm under pressure, and evaluating complicated information objectively -- as preparation for city council. On growth, he wants roads, city services, and public utilities to keep pace with development without sacrificing the open space, vineyards, and neighborhood character that define Livermore. On housing, he wants to expand realistic, attainable housing options in appropriate locations so young families, workers, and seniors can afford to stay in the city. On safety, he wants neighborhoods kept safe and the city prepared for emergencies, specifically citing wildfire resilience and protecting critical infrastructure against modern threats. On the budget, he wants public tax dollars managed with strict discipline and transparency, with every major spending decision weighed against its cost, its value, and who pays for it.
