Keith Parker has worked in technology marketing and content leadership, including as Director of Production and Marketing for Violin Memory, Senior Manager at Panzura, Head of Product Marketing for Expressive and Pavilion, and Director of Content at SambaNova Systems. He holds a B.A. from Arizona State University and has been a Fremont resident for 30 years, living there with his three children.

Parker has said crime and public safety must be a priority, along with revitalizing local businesses.
In a 2022 Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey, Parker said the city needs to add fully staffed, properly trained police officers as well as community outreach officers to build trust between police and the community. He has also pointed to business revitalization as a concern for local businesses facing economic challenges.
