Jordan Z. Marks was elected in November 2022 as San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk. Before that he was Chief Deputy Assessor and Taxpayer Advocate, where he led the office's outreach programs and, per his official biography, personally resolved over 1,000 customer care cases. He is a licensed attorney and Certified Property Tax Appraiser in California, with a bachelor's degree from UCLA, a law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law, and a University of San Diego cybersecurity executive certificate. He led creation of an annual diversity procurement event in 2018 and volunteers with the USS Midway Museum and the Small Business Development Center.
