David Matanga

David Matanga is the Montebello City Treasurer. According to the city's official biography, he grew up in East Los Angeles, graduated from Garfield High School in 1970, and has lived in Montebello for more than 40 years. He worked as a Senior Tax Compliance Representative for the California Employment Development Department and has more than 20 years of union activism, including with SEIU 1000 and the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor. He and his wife Carmel raised their daughter in Montebello.
