Steve Simon

Candidate for Secretary of State

Steve Simon of Hopkins is the sitting Minnesota Secretary of State. Before that he served in the Minnesota House, first elected in 2004, where he chaired the Elections Committee. He says he wrote the law allowing all eligible Minnesotans to vote from home and played a lead role in other voting-access and security reforms. His campaign site says his family fled persecution in Lithuania and settled on the Iron Range.

Accomplishments are self-reported on the campaign site and in the KAXE questionnaire.

Profiles are compiled from the candidate’s own statements and public records. We never tell you how to vote.
