Charles Burkett

Charles Burkett describes himself as an investor who owns and operates commercial, residential and agricultural properties in eight states. He served four terms as mayor of Surfside, Florida, first taking office in 2006, with his last term ending in 2026, and he led the town through the 2021 Champlain Towers South condominium collapse that killed 98 people. He says he has been involved in his community's politics since 1986.
