Charlie Hatcher

Charlie Hatcher is a livestock veterinarian and fifth-generation Tennessee dairy farmer. A 2018 profile described him as owner and operator of Rock-N-Country Veterinary Services and general managing partner of Hatcher Family Dairy. He says he has started eight businesses, including Hatcher Family Dairy. He earned a bachelor's degree in animal science from Middle Tennessee State University in 1980 and a veterinary medicine degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He became Tennessee State Veterinarian in 2009. In 2018, Gov.-elect Bill Lee named him Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, a post he held for seven years before retiring in early October 2025.
