Michaela Barnett

Michaela Barnett is a small business owner and an engineer. While pursuing a doctorate in civil engineering, she built a small business in Knox County. In college she started a campus-wide composting program, and as an AmeriCorps member she launched three programs at the University of Tennessee. She then worked in Congress as a science policy fellow. She grew up doing barn chores on her family's horse farm.
