Positions in brief
Armendariz is focused on investing in neighborhood infrastructure, such as street lighting, landscaping and pedestrian and traffic safety, and on building housing responsibly so long-time residents and younger generations can afford to stay in Gilroy.
In her official candidate statement, Armendariz says the city needs to invest in district infrastructure such as 'improved street lighting and landscaping, and pedestrian and traffic safety initiatives,' arguing that when residents are proud of their neighborhood 'no matter which side of town we live on, our whole City benefits.' As a co-founder of Gilroy Growing Smarter, she advocates for building housing responsibly so that both younger generations and long-time residents can afford to stay and put down roots in Gilroy.
