Brenda K. Sanders

Brenda K. Sanders is a former trial attorney and former Michigan judge. After earning a political science degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1983, Sanders worked as a Washtenaw County public defender and later ran a law practice in the Wayne, Oakland, and Washtenaw county areas for 21 years, focusing on criminal law, civil law, personal injury, workplace discrimination, and probate matters. Sanders also wrote a book, "Speak for Yourself," to help people who represent themselves in court without a lawyer.
