Moss is a Michigan state senator and President Pro Tempore of the Michigan Senate, representing part of Oakland County. As chair of the Senate Elections Committee, he has worked to reduce barriers to voting and expand access to the ballot box. He helped pass gun-safety legislation and tax relief for seniors and working families in the state Legislature. He is the first openly gay member of the Michigan Senate and led an update to the state's civil-rights law to ban housing and employment discrimination.
