Positions in brief

Small's main goal is public safety. She wants new police substations and a full police force. She also wants an audit of homelessness spending and stricter rules for city finances.

Small says public safety is her top goal. She wants more police substations in north Stockton and more patrols. She wants the city to add the officers voters were promised when they passed Measure A. She wants more money and staff for the city's violence-prevention office. On homelessness, she wants an audit of how the city has spent its money on homeless services. She wants more funding for health care and outreach to connect people to care. She also backs building more affordable housing. On city finances, she points to a recent audit that found errors and weak oversight of public funds. She wants stricter rules so that kind of waste does not happen again.
