Positions in brief

Vandenberg is campaigning on protecting neighborhoods from warehouse expansion, public safety, homelessness response, and road maintenance for Ward 4.

Vandenberg's Ward 4 platform centers on opposing further expansion of large logistics warehouse projects that add truck traffic and hurt residential quality of life, while supporting economic development that brings higher-paying jobs. On public safety, he wants to support first responders and strengthen neighborhood safety. On homelessness, he wants to partner with churches and nonprofits serving youth and families while ensuring laws are enforced and public spaces stay safe and accessible. He also wants to improve road maintenance and address traffic congestion. He points to his service on the city's Budget Engagement Commission and Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee as experience reviewing how the city spends tax dollars.
